Dog killed in residential fire in Auburn

Firefighters from the Valley Regional Fire Authority doused a house fire Tuesday afternoon.

At 1:44 p.m., firefighters responded to a report of smoke pouring from windows of a residence at 1307 22nd St. SE.

There were no residents home at the time of the fire. After searching the home firefighters found one dog deceased. There were no reported injuries to civilians or firefighters.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
