Auburn's Partridge to serve on national committee

Auburn City Councilmember John Partridge has been appointed to the National League of Cities (NLC) Public Safety & Crime Prevention Steering Committee.
NLC President Marie Lopez Rogers, the mayor of Avondale, Ariz., recently announced the appointment.
"Our local officials are very involved with National League of Cities and we're proud of the job that Councilmember John Partridge has done on this committee," said Auburn Mayor Pete Lewis. "He will bring his expertise and experience to Washington D.C. and, in turn, return with valuable information he can share with us at home."
The chair of this year's Public Safety & Crime Prevention Steering Committee is Pete Constant, councilmember, San Jose, Calif. Serving as this year's vice chairs are Grene McGee, mayor, Ridgeland, Miss., and Scott Somers, vice mayor, Mesa, Ariz.
