Volunteers came together on Saturday to participate in the City of Auburn’s Clean Sweep project.

The community-wide volunteer effort focused on major cleanup and beautification efforts in four parks –

Brannan Park, Environmental Park, Lea Hill Park and

Shaughnessy Park.

Each park had different projects, such as planting, pruning, weeding, painting and more. Service clubs, social service agencies, faith-based groups, scouting troops, businesses and individuals came together and worked side-by-side to help with the planting project.

More than 600 people registered to help out. Right, volunteers sweep Main Street at the start of the annual event.
