The Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to 210 requests for service between Jan. 28 and Feb. 3, among them the following:

Jan. 28

Aid call: 5:57 p.m., (North Auburn). Firefighters responding to a car versus bicycle accident in North Auburn helped a male with a minor ankle injury then left him at the scene.

Jan. 29

Aid call: 4:15 p.m., (Lakeland Hills), Firefighters responding to the 6500 block of Charlotte Ave. SE where a toddler who had hurt her arm in a fall was waiting, examined the child before her grandma drove her to the Access Medical Clinic in Lakeland Hills for further examinations.

Jan. 30

Burn injury: 11:38 a.m., (Pacific). Responding to a woman who had accidentally spilled boiling water on herself, firefighters did a quick assessment before a VRFA Aid unit drove the injured woman in stable condition to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center (MAMC).

Feb. 1

Accident: 11:05 a.m., (Auburn). A three-vehicle accident with injuries on Highway 18 brought firefighters on the quick. For precautionary reasons, the driver of one of the vehicles that had suffered significant damage got a ride in a private ambulance to a hospital. Firefighters transported another driver to MAMC and later transferred him or her to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for additional care.

Structure fire: 8:19 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responding to a report of a bathroom fire in a two-story town home found the building evacuated, with light smoke rolling out of the second floor. Firefighters made a quick interior attack and quickly brought the fire under control. Two displaced occupants went to stay with relatives until they can reoccupy their home.

Feb. 2

Service call: 1:04 p.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters hustled to an older fellow who had slipped and fallen on the ground without hurting himself. Firefighters helped the man back into his car.

Feb. 3

Aid call: 4:22 p.m., (Algona). Firefighters responding to a woman possibly having a stroke found a very sick person. Firefighters provided treatment and asked King County Medics to help. The Medics took over treatment and transported the woman to MAMC.
