Latitude Development, LLC and Franciscan Health System announced Wednesday the groundbreaking of a new, two-story, 38,000-square-foot, mixed-use building, the Franciscan Medical Pavilion-Auburn.

Franciscan Health System will be the anchor tenant and has pre-leased 21,000 square feet for the pavilion, at 205 10th St. NE. The project is expected to be complete and ready for occupancy in October. Franciscan anticipates welcoming patients beginning in November.

The new facility will feature a Franciscan primary care practice with extended hours, lab, retail pharmacy, and specialty physicians in cardiology, vascular surgery, endocrinology and general surgery.

Franciscan Medical Group is one of the largest multi-specialty medical groups in Puget Sound with more than 100 clinics located in south King, Pierce and south Kitsap counties.

"We are very pleased to provide families in the growing Auburn area with a broad array of high-quality services as we fulfill our mission to create healthier communities," said Stephen Spare, MD, president and chief medical officer for Franciscan Medical Group. "This new facility will help us improve access and make it easier to get expert health care close to home."

Donovan Brothers, Inc. is the general contractor for the project. Jon Graves Architects and Planners, PLLC is the project architect. Don Whittles, Tim Weber and Jeremiah Durr from First Western Properties are the listing agents. Bruce Valentine and Denise Davis from Neil Walter represented Franciscan Health System in the transaction. Franciscan selected Collins-Woerman architects for tenant improvements.

"We are excited to have the opportunity to provide Franciscan Health System with a state-of-the-art, new medical facility to expand their mission in the Auburn community," said Dave Kessler, principal with Latitude Development, LLC.
