Sen. Pam Roach, R-Auburn, will chair the Joint Select Committee on Military and Veterans Affairs today from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Buckley Armory, 455 N. River Road. The public is invited to participate. Roach, who co-chairs the legislative committee formed to facilitate issues surrounding active military, veterans and the National Guard, will showcase state armories during the TVW broadcast. The meeting will focus on public access to food and communication during disaster, a new traumatic brain injury (TBI) center in Orting, and university campus safety measures. From I-5, merge onto 512 E., merge onto 167 N., merge onto 410 E. to Buckley, right on Park Ave, left on River Rd.
