Winners crowned at inaugural Auburn Dog Trot

The Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation’s inaugural Dog Trot 3K Fun Run at Game Farm Park last Saturday attracted 150 participants and yielded five division winners.

Winners were announced from the stage at the Petpalooza event and were presented with a certificate and $25 toward their purchase at Tiki Tails Dog Salon, an event sponsor.

The winners:

• Child (8 & under division): Jack Gray and his dog, Chewbacca.

• Tween (9-12 division): Derek Faber and his dog, Parka.

• Teen (13-19 division): Tommy Peebles and his dog, Gizmo.

• Adult (20-54 division): Brett Satterland and his dogs, Iris and Charlie

• Adult (55-over division): Robert Atkins

The fun run was an event for owners and their dogs, and served as a kickoff for Auburn’s Petpalooza festival.
