New officer joins Auburn Police force

Eric Mattson began his law enforcement career with the Auburn Police Department as the City's newest lateral police officer on March 4.

Officer Mattson has three years of policing experience with the Federal Way Police Department and two years as a procurement specialist with the U.S. District Court.

On March 12, Mattson was sworn into service by King County District Court Judge Matthew Williams and Deputy Mayor Nancy Backus.
