VRFA firefighters snuff out fire at D Street Northwest apartments

Firefighters from the Valley Regional Fire Authority put out a fire at a 6-plex on D Street Northwest in Auburn early Tuesday morning.

Nobody was hurt in the conflagration, although one resident was displaced from the building.

At 4:45 a.m. firefighters were dispatched to a report of flames coming from an outlet at a 6-plex at 12 D St. NW. Firefighters quickly contained the fire to the apartment where it had started, so no adjoining units were damaged.

Investigators are looking into the cause of the fire.
