Miss Auburn Scholarship Pageant unfolds this weekend

The Miss Auburn Scholarship Pageant returns to the Auburn Performing Arts Center stage this weekend.

A field of 17 contestants will vie for the Miss Auburn crown, 10 will vie for the Miss Auburn Outstanding Teen tiara.

Competition begins at 7 p.m. Friday and continues with at 6 p.m. Saturday with the finals.

Reigning queens Victoria Knight (Miss Auburn) and Amanda Enz (MAOT) will pass on the honors.

The program, sponsored by the Auburn Noon Lions Club, is an official preliminary to the Miss Washington and Miss America Scholarship pageants.

A People's Choice Award benefits the Auburn Food Bank.Tickets, in the $30-40 range, are available at www.brownpapertickets.com.
