VRFA douses abandoned Lea Hill house fire

The Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to and quickly extinguished a fire in an abandoned home on Auburn’s Lea Hill early Sunday morning.

At 3:48 a.m. the Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to reports of a structure fire in the area of Southeast 308th and 124th Avenue Southeast. Firefighters arrived and found an abandoned single family residential home with smoke and flames showing from the structure. Firefighters quickly made entry, extinguishing the fire and confirming the structure was unoccupied.

There were no injuries to firefighters or civilians.

Fire investigators are determining the fire’s cause and origin.
