VRFA responds to wall fire in unoccupied Pacific commercial business

Valley Regional Fire Authority firefighters responded to a report of smoke inside a commercial business in the 200 block of Stewart Road Southwest in Pacific at 3:22 p.m. Saturday.

Firefighters found the building, Valley Freightliner, charged with smoke. They entered and found an active wall fire above the buildings electrical service that was spreading upward. Fire firefighters quickly extinguishing the fire and confirmed the structure was unoccupied.

There were no injuries to firefighters or civilians.

Fire investigators are determining the fire's cause and origin.
