Husband arrested in Auburn in stabbing death in Tukwila March 7

The husband of a 26-year-old Pierce County woman stabbed to death in Tukwila on March 7 was arrested Friday afternoon in Auburn in connection with her death, according to the Tukwila Police Department.

Michelle Ruffin died of multiple stab wounds she suffered in the 5400 block of Southcenter Boulevard. Since then, Tukwila Police Department detectives have followed several leads in the case.

Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Ruffin’s husband.  Friday, while conducting surveillance outside an Auburn apartment complex, they took the husband into custody at about 4 p.m., according  to the Police Department.

 He was booked into the King County Jail pending filing of formal charges.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms assisted in the arrest of the husband.
