King County Road Services Division completely closed Southeast 304th Street, from 121st Avenue Southeast to 127th Avenue Southeast on Lea Hill, to begin work on a roundabout.

The closure, which began last Tuesday, is anticipated to last until Sept. 2 in order to construct an intersection improvement. 124th Avenue Southeast within the project limits will be restricted to one lane.

Delays should be anticipated. Detours will be marked and alternate routes are strongly recommended.

King County has scheduled work from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and might work between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday as needed.

The weekend work is due to time constraints to open the roadway prior to the beginning of the school year.

The county is building the roundabout to ease the flow of increased traffic traveling to and from Auburn Mountainview High School, other local schools and new development in the area.

Elsewhere

One lane of Southeast Green Valley Road will be closed at the Patton Bridge until further notice. A temporary traffic signal is in place to control traffic flow over the bridge. Motorists can detour via Southeast Green Valley Road, Auburn-Black Diamond Road, and 218th Avenue Southeast.
