Residential fire displaces 5 adults and a dog

The Valley Regional Fire Authority was dispatched to a report of smoke and flames on a deck of a residence in the 3400 block of Academy Drive in Auburn at 10:51 a.m. Saturday.

VRFA firefighters quickly extinguished the fire with assistance from Mountain View Fire and Rescue.

All residents evacuated safely and will be assisted by the American Red Cross.

There were no reported injuries to civilians or firefighters.
