Auburn police responded to the following calls for service between Aug. 9 and Aug. 7:

Aug. 9

And don’t come back: 12:21 a.m., 1525 A St. N.E. The owner of the Performance grill told one of the pugilists in an unauthorized incident of fisticuffs to stay away from the establishment for three years.

Burglary: 1:40 a.m., 3600 block of A Street Southeast. Police arrested a teenage boy for burglary, theft, possession of burglary tools and vehicle prowling. An accomplice, eager to avoid answering for his actions in a similar way, fled the scene before police got there.

Aug. 8

Burglary: Overnight, 4800 block of D Street Northwest. Persons unknown broke into two container trailers and stole numerous cases of new purses from said containers. No value was given.

Belting a buddy: 11:59 a.m., 1000 block of 17th Street Northeast. Police arrested a man for slapping a chum. No motive for the chum-slapping was offered.

Theft: 11 a.m., 2402 Auburn Way S. Police arrested a man at the Muckleshoot Casino after he snagged a woman’s cash ticket from a slot machine as she was trying to direct an attendant’s attention to the machine, which was not working properly. The suspect then used some $70 worth of credits the ticket contained before security put an end to his wrongdoing. He was booked into the Auburn jail.

Vandalism: 3:05 p.m., 2900 block of A Street Southeast. As two drivers exchanged choice words over a traffic issue, a passenger in one of the vehicles chucked an unknown object at the other vehicle, striking the driver’s side door, inflicting minor damage.

Shoplifting: 2:45 p.m., 1425 Supermall Way S.W. Police arrested a man for stealing $64.13 worth of undisclosed items from Wal-Mart.

Theft: 8:46 p.m., 10700 block of Southeast 318th Place. A woman reported that somebody stole her wallet with numerous credit cards and $400 cash in it. The thief also netted 40 vicodin pills.

Aug. 7

Vandalism: 8:31 a.m., 107 W. Main St. Persons unknown applied a fire extinguisher to the dining room of Gustaves Manor, causing minor damage.

Shoplifting: 4:12 p.m., 801 Auburn Way N. A teenage boy, desperate to find out a very important fact about his girlfriend, was arrested for shoplifting a pregnancy test from Fred Meyer.

Forcible fondling: 6:30 p.m., 3100 block of M Street Southeast. Police arrested a man after he grabbed a female and groped her.
