: Swaying poplar trees connected with 115,000 volt electrical lines caused a power outage through Algona, Pacific and south Auburn on Wednesday evening, according to the Valley Regional Fire Authority. The outage also interrupted the evening commute as the crossing gates at various railroad crossings come down. Representatives from the Union Pacific Railroad and Puget Sound Energy worked to restore operations by about 7 p.m.
