To make the Sounder Train Station more welcome, the Auburn Tourism Board decided to hang new tourism banners on each of the light poles using its identifying branding design. Each banner was purchased by the tourism board’s partners, welcoming commuters to Auburn. The board’s focus this year is to educate citizens first about what is in their own backyard – while, at the same time, promote Auburn as a tourist destination. Banner partners include Emerald Downs, Muckleshoot Casino, Gosanko Chocolate Art, Travelodge Suites, Days Inn, Auburn Golf Course and Auburn Avenue Theater.
