Girl struck in crosswalk in front of Auburn High School

A 15-year-old girl sustained minor injuries after being struck by a car in front of Auburn High School, 800 4th NE, at 7:43 a.m. today. Witnesses say the girl was walking in a crosswalk when a car struck her.

Valley Regional Fire Authority firefighters responded to the incident and treated the girl for what appeared to be minor injuries. She was transported via VRFA aid car to Auburn Regional Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment.

The Auburn Police Department is investigating the incident.
