Dick Scobee Elementary School will celebrate the lives of fallen astronauts from the three space crashes and open a decade-old time capsule that reads, “To be opened in 2010”, during a school-wide assembly at 2 p.m. Friday.

The six-foot long time capsule was filled by Dick Scobee students in 2000, under the leadership of Principal Starla Audette.

All former Dick Scobee students, parents and staff are invited to participate in the opening of the time capsule.
