Auburn police arrest suspect in Lea Hill shooting

Auburn police arrested a man Thursday afternoon in the shooting death of another man on Lea Hill.
Auburn police responded to a report of a man who had been shot in the 11000 block of Southeast 315th Street at 3:06 p.m. A woman called 911 and reported that her boyfriend had been shot in the chest. She reported that the suspect in the shooting was her husband.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect was described to have left the area in his vehicle. An Auburn police sergeant located the suspect vehicle about 20 minutes after the initial call.
The vehicle was stopped, with the suspect, a 43-year-old man, being taken into custody without incident.
