A Kent woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision on southbound Highway 167 near South 277th in Auburn on Monday.
Emergency crews responded to the crash at 5:26 p.m.
The woman, 36, driving a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer, swerved into the HOV lane on the Valley Freeway to avoid slowing traffic when she struck a second vehicle. The Blazer then rolled over, coming to a rest in two other lanes. The other vehicle came to rest in a third lane.
Authorities said the woman was ejected from her vehicle after the rollover. She did not wear a safety belt.
Valley Regional Fire Authority units along with Medic One paramedics treated the patient at the scene. The woman was transported to the Auburn Airport and Airlifted to Harborview Medical Center where she later died.
The driver and a passenger of the other vehicle, a 2003 Ford Expedition, were not hurt. Both were from Enumclaw.
