Algona Family Fun Days return to Machett Park this weekend.

The event – presented by the city of Algona and sponsors – features a parade, live music, a comedy show, demonstrations, kids activities, food booths, vendors and a beer garden.

Festivities at the park, 402 Warde St., span 5 to 9 p.m. Friday.

A pancake breakfast will be served at 8 a.m. Saturday, followed by a parade down First Avenue at 10. Music and dance groups and other shows fill the afternoon and evening hours.
