Auburn Police blotter | April 13

Auburn Police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between April 6 and 9:

April 6

Trespassing: 7:09 a.m., 1 16th St. NE. Finding a woman’s presence an irksome, intolerable discomfort, The Comfort Inn introduced her to the grand egress, and strongly suggested she try it out.

Burglary: 2:36 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. A man unlawfully entered the stockroom of a local business, where he tried to steal a box full of merchandise, but an employee foiled his plans.

Theft: 2:50 p.m., 221 Auburn Way N. A man grabbed sex toys from Lover’s Package and skedaddled.

Postal theft: 7:15 p.m., 13000 block of Southeast 308th Street. Somebody stole a desk and a kitchen table from a front porch.

April 7

Vandalism: 12:41 a.m., 12500 block of Southeast 318th Way. Police busted a man for breaking his own front door during a spat with his girlfriend, on his birthday.

April 8

Trespassing: 11:33 a.m., 1506 I St. NE. Police found two transients in an abandoned house and arrested them.

Assault with aggravating injury: 2300 block of O Street Northeast. Police arrested a man for beating on his girlfriend.

April 9

Burglary: 8 a.m., 2020 F St. SE. A subject as of yet known only to him or herself entered a laundry room and damaged the coin box of a washing machine to steal the money.

Theft: 5:10 a.m., 501 Auburn Way N. Staff at Scarff Ford called 911 to report the theft of copper wire in the form of a charging cord for electric vehicles.

Bike theft: Overnight, 28599 West Valley Highway N. A man came into the lobby of the Auburn Police station to report that someone had stolen his yellow, Colin Laing, 27-speed bicycle.

Theft under the arches: 3 p.m., 702 Auburn Way S. Somebody stole a wallet from a customer while that person was sampling the cuisine at the southend McDonald’s.
