Auburn Police blotter | Jan. 25

Auburn Police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between Jan. 13 and 21:

Jan. 13

Prowler: 1:30 a.m., 32000 block of 47th Avenue South. A bad person entered an unlocked vehicle, eyeballed its contents but stole not a thing.

Theft from motor vehicles: 11:22 p.m., 3702 Auburn Way S. A person or person stole items undisclosed from two vehicles.

Jan. 14

Burglary: 7 a.m., 1100 block of 9th Street Southeast. A nefarious somebody, or several of them in nefarious compact, burgled a local company’s courtyard and damaged numerous vehicles in the process.

Shoplifting: 2:45 p.m., 1221 Auburn Way N. Police arrested two shady characters for stealing things from an Auburn business.

Trespassing: 11:58 a.m., 200 A St. SW. Police busted a dude for criminal trespassing and for acting out on a bus.

Jan. 15

Cops helping cops: 4:30 a.m., 122 Railroad Avenue S. A guy hit a woman and took to his heels, but with the help of the Auburn K9, Kent Police busted the fugitive woman beater.

Jan. 18

Forgery: 7:45 a.m., 1531 Auburn Way S. A woman tried to use a bogus $100 bill to buy undisclosed stuff in the 1300 block of Auburn Way North.

Misdemeanor: 9 a.m., 501 26th St. SE. Unknowns spray painted someone’s home garage with graffiti.

Theft: 12:53 p.m., 1500 block of J Street Southeast. A homeowner called police after a package was delivered to his porch, and an unknown man swiped it.

CPS referral: 5:25 p.m., 22nd Way Northeast. Two children were left unattended.

Jan. 21

Weapon surrender: 10:40 a.m., 1300 block of Dogwood Street Southeast. By court order, a resident surrendered his or her firearms to Auburn Police.

Theft: 12:30 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. Somebody stole a cellphone from the T-Mobile kiosk inside the Outlet Collection Mall.
