Auburn Police blotter | July 13

Auburn Police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between July 2 and 7:

July 2

Assault with a firearm: 8:45 a.m., 12400 block of Southeast 312th Street. Police busted a man for second-degree assault and two counts of unlawful possession of firearms.

Hit and run: 5:35 p.m., 1300 block of 28th Street Southeast. Some motorist smacked into a fence then turned tailpipe and zipped off, leaving damage behind.

July 3

Commercial burglary: 2:58 a.m., 2117 Auburn Way S. Someone stole fireworks from a fireworks stand.

Trespassing: 7:20 a.m., 800 block of 8th Street Northeast. Some guy complained to police about unlawful dumping and about kids walking over his property.

July 4

Theft: 4 p.m., 1100 block of 8th Street Northeast. Somebody swiped a pressure washer from a patio.

Vandalism: 10:25 p.m., 13300 block of Southeast 307th Street. Police busted a man for 3rd-degree domestic violence-malicious mischief and for exposing a minor to DV.

July 6

Postal theft: 8:30 a.m., 10800 block of Southeast 326th Place. A resident called to report the theft of mail from his mailbox, noting that the thief stole a cashiers check but had not yet cashed it.

July 7

Recovered stolen vehicle: 11:33 a.m., 5110 Frontage Road. Police recovered at a U-Haul in Auburn a U-Haul tow dolly that a thief had stolen in far-off Virginia.
