Auburn Police blotter | March 30

Between March 20 and 27, Auburn Police responded to the following calls for service, among many others:

March 20

Property theft: Overnight, 202 N Division St. Someone relieved a parked vehicle of its rear license plate, without its owner’s permission.

Vandalism: Overnight, 500 block of 3rd Street Southwest. Perhaps while trying to steal a business’ vehicle, somebody broke in and damaged it.

Lotsa warrants: 11:26 a.m., 1700 Auburn Way N. Bike Officers busted a man for having his name and facts about his misconduct scrawled all over six Auburn warrants.

Theft: 3:26 p.m., 3900 block of A Street Southeast. Somebody stole the portable speaker off some dude’s bike.

Attempted forced entry: 7:55 p.m., 1005 37th St. SE. Somebody tried to burglarize Gildo Rey Elementary School.

March 23

Whole lotta wrongdoin’: 9 p.m., 3700 block of Auburn Way North. Police arrested a guy for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, false statements to a peace officer, possession of methamphetamines and a felony warrant.

Scram!: 3:31 p.m., 504 Auburn Way N. From the Starting Gate Restaurant, police removed a no-goodnik, a stirrer-up of strife.

Fraud: 8 a.m., 500 block of B Street Northeast. A woman reported that she had lost almost $20,000 to a scam perpetrated on her by a Facebook contact.

Theft: 1:40 p.m., 200 1st St. NE. Thieves opened a number of street light junction boxes and stole their copper wire, at undisclosed expense to the City.

Theft: 2 p.m., 1000 block of 31st Street Northeast. A man called police to report someone had stolen a quad from out in front of a friend’s residence.

March 24

Shoplifting: 7:25 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. A bad person stole handbags from a business.

March 26

Unlawful transit conduct: 12:19 a.m., 101 15th St. NE. Police arrested three people for unlawful transit conduct.

Disorderly conduct: 9:34 p.m., 2200 Auburn Way N. Nine hours after the above, police arrested a man for engaging in unlawful conduct

Unlawful transit conduct: 11:03 p.m., 2200 Auburn Way N. And 1½ hours after that, police busted a man for conducting himself outside the law on a bus.

March 27

Unlawful transit conduct: 1:56 a.m., 3702 Auburn Way N. And all that wrong conduct continued into the wee hours of March 27. when police arrested two adults for unlawful transit conduct.

Strong-arm street robbery: 6:27 a.m., 2236 Auburn Way N. Somebody forced a transient to hand over items belonging to him or her.
