Auburn Police blotter | March 9

Auburn Police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between Feb. 27 and March 5:

Feb. 27

Trespassing: 8:16 a.m., 101 Auburn Way S. When Safeway had had quite enough of the antics of some misbehaving galoot, it ordered said galoot out.

ID theft: 4:31 p.m., 4248 A St. SE. Somebody stole a man’s bank information and money from his account.

Shoplifting: 9:17 p.m., 1260 Outlet Collection Way SW. A woman reported shoplifting and a hit-and run-near Bed Bath & Beyond.

Feb. 28

Mail theft: 3:48 a.m., 3400 block of M Place Southeast. A male damaged locked residential postal boxes and stole an unknown amount of mail.

Weapons offense: 8:15 a.m., 401 W. Main St. Someone reported a felonious weapons violation of undisclosed feloniousness.

Trespassing: 8:50 a.m., 4104 A St. SE. Police removed a man from a PSE substation.

Weapons offense: 10:15 a.m., West Main St. Police busted a man for possession of a dangerous weapon at West Auburn High School and booked him into the SCORE jail.

Theft: 2:30 p.m., 202 N Division St. Somebody reached into a vehicle parked in the parking garage of the MultiCare Auburn Medical Center and stole a backpack.

Theft of vehicle parts: Overnight, 1100 block of 32nd Place Northeast. Somebody pried the grill off a vehicle and scuttled away with it into the night.

March 2

Swindled: 5 p.m., 1400 block of D Street Northeast. A man called police to report that somebody had defrauded him of $200 cash as the result of a Craigslist scam.

March 3

Vehicle theft: 7:35 a.m., 2400 block of F Street Southeast. The owner of a vehicle with two firearms inside left it running and unattended in an apartment complex parking lot, and somebody stole it.

March 5

Burglary: 7 a.m., 4826 B St. NW. Staff at Consolidated Electrical Distributors called to report a burglary to their building over the weekend.

Burglary: :11:59 p.m., 111 3rd St. NW Staff at Norplex Plastics in Auburn called police to report the theft of copper wire over the weekend.
