Auburn Police blotter | May 19

Auburn Police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between May 6 and 9.

May 6

Theft: 4:35 p.m., 801 Auburn Way N. Somebody itching for an opportunity to steal a wallet found it at Fred Meyer.

And he’s off!: 8:33 p.m., 2300 Ron Crockett Drive NW. Emerald Downs gave walking orders to some trespassing so-and-so.

May 7

Theft: 5:18 a.m., 11600 block of Southeast 308th Place. In the pre-dawn hours, a prowler or prowlers prowled numerous vehicles.

Robbery with knife: 10:05 p.m., 3800 D St. SE. A person or persons robbed two males at knife point of undisclosed effects.

Step away from that Egg McMuffin!: 8:28 a.m., 702 Auburn Way S. For wrongdoing undisclosed, Ronald McDonald applied his infamous red floppy shoe of disapproval to a man, told him to scramble his legs, get out.

May 8

DUI alcohol or drugs: 8:06 a.m., 15 R St. NE. Police arrested a man on suspicion of DUI after he drove his vehicle off a street and into a nearby front yard. Personnel evaluated the man medically on scene and at MultiCare Auburn Medical Center before they discharged him. A blood search warrant was sought and granted. Results of a blood test are pending. The man was booked into SCORE.

Trespassing: 9 a.m., 110 block of 7th Street Northeast. For trespassing, vandalism and obstructing a police officer, police arrested a man they had found in a box truck on private property.

Animal problem: 4:07 p.m., 602 Auburn Way N. The owner of a dog that was found running loose claimed that a transient had been stealing his dogs.

Shoplifting: 3:36 p.m., 1232 A St. NE. Police arrested a man for stealing a wood chipper from Lowe’s.

Theft: 12:53 a.m., 508 W. Main St. Somebody stole a pressure washer.

May 9

Animal problem: 1:47 p.m., 5200 block of S. 312th Street. A loose dog injured another dog that was on its owner’s property.

Weapons offense: 4:40 p.m., 300 block of 132nd Avenue Southeast. Police arrested a man for flashing a pistol at another person.
