Auburn Police host second annual Intermediate Driving School

The Auburn Police Department hosts its second annual Intermediate Driving School on Wednesday, June 27, from 6 to 9 p.m., in the council chambers at City Hall, 25 W. Main St.

The class – taught by police officers – offers extra advice and distracted driving information to young, inexperienced drivers.

The class is for any Auburn high school student who has a valid instruction permit or an intermediate driver’s license. The class is free and open to the first 100 people to register. Student drivers are encouraged to bring their parents with them to class. Parents are welcome to stay, but it is not required.

The class includes active and static displays as well as a driving simulator. The class is valuable in that it enhances a young driver’s education and knowledge of traffic laws.
