Three Auburn School District seniors were recognized as National Merit Commended students after taking the 2012 Preliminary SAT (PSAT) test.

Nicole Carter and Sophia Wagner from Auburn Mountainview High School and Kaiya Ide from Auburn Riverside High were three of about 34,000 students from throughout the nation who were recognized for exceptional academic excellence.

Commended students placed among the top 4 percent of more than 1.5 million students who took the test.
