Father Roy Baroma and George Augustine bless Rob Woodworth’s dog, Bearinger, Teddie Woodworth’s dog, Jazzmen, and Anthony Corpuz’s dog, Felix, during a ceremony last Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church.

This time of year, a procession of cats and dogs – and other animals, too – is led to churches for a special ceremony called the Blessing of Pets, a custom conducted in remembrance of Saint Francis of Assisi’s love for all creatures.
