City, Auburn Sam’s Club present job fair

Businesses encouraged to participate, help 140-plus employees of the soon-to-close facility

The City of Auburn, in partnership with the Auburn Sam’s Club, offers a job fair on Wednesday, Jan. 24, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., for the 140-plus employees of the soon-to-close facility at The Outlet Collection.

Employee will be paid to attend the fair during their shift. Skill sets include management, cashier, warehouse, retail and food service.

Auburn Sam’s Club is at the mall, 101 Outlet Collection Way.

Employees at Sam’s Club locations in Auburn, Renton and Seattle were learned on Jan. 11 that their stores would be closing as part of a larger nationwide shuttering of 63 store locations, affecting 495 workers in the King County area.

The three stores are scheduled to close Jan. 26.
