Kids' Art Contest begins for 2012 Voters' Pamphlet
January 31, 2012 · 11:21 AM
The Office of Secretary of State invites students in grades 4 and 5 to enter the 2012 Kids' Art Contest.
The winning artwork will be featured in the Washington State Voters' Pamphlet for the 2012 General Election. Last year, there were 3.5 million copies distributed statewide. The winning artist also will receive a surprise visit from Secretary of State Sam Reed at his or her school.
The theme for this year is "If I Could Vote."
The art contest is an opportunity for Washington's youngest citizens to be a part of elections and think about what they would value as voters. Students enter the contest by submitting their art with an entry form no later than April 16.
