Highline College welcomes new president John Mosby

Highline College officially welcomed new president John Mosby with a reception July 12 at the campus, 2400 S. 240th St., Des Moines.

Mosby previously served as the vice president for student services at Mission College in Santa Clara, California. He has more than 23 years of higher education experience and has a doctorate in leadership/higher education administration from the University of San Diego.

It is made up of community members from Highline’s service area of South King County: Dan Altmayer and Bob Roegner, both of Federal Way; Debrena Jackson Gandy, Des Moines; Fred Mendoza, Normandy Park; and Sili Savusa, White Center.

Highline College was founded in 1961 as the first community college in King County and now serves more than 17,000 students.
