King County Flood Control District seeks public comment

Flooding is the most common natural disaster residents face in King County, and the Lower Green River is at risk of significant flooding.

In the interest of protecting people, property and the environment, the King County Flood Control District is developing a Flood Hazard Management Plan to guide future flood reduction investments. They are looking for community feedback during the scoping comment period of the Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement on the Flood Plan.

A severe flood could have enormous consequences for the safety, livelihood and viability of the community. Please learn more about the flood planning process and most importantly provide feedback at lowergreensepa.org.

The comment period closes May 1.
