A man is fighting for his life in Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center after he was shot in the head Tuesday night outside the Auburn apartment he shares with his girlfriend.

According to Auburn Police, the shooting followed an argument between the man and his girlfriend that became a physical fight at the Colonial Apartments on I Street some time after 7:30 p.m. When the fight moved into the hallway, additional people may have become involved and an unknown person shot him in the head.

Police and King County Medics transported the man to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition. He was released from the hospital Thursday.

Police are looking for the girlfriend.
