A Pacific man was burned in a commercial vehicle fire at 840 Butte Ave. SE early Thursday morning, the Valley Regional Fire Authority reported.

VRFA units responded to the fire at approximately 5:48 a.m.

The man was living in a tractor trailer, which had been converted to living quarters. The resident suffered first- and second-degree burns to his body and was treated by VRFA units and King County Medic One paramedics.

The patient was transported to Harborview Medical Center by KCM1.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
