Congresswoman Kim Schrier, D-WA (Eighth District), is the guest speaker for the Veterans Day program at Tahoma National Cemetery on Monday, Nov. 11.
The ceremony begins at 11 a.m. at the cemetery’s Main Flag Pole Assembly Area, 18600 SE 240th St., Kent.
It is open to the public.
The Department of Veterans Affairs pays tribute to the service and sacrifice of the veterans it honors in the area. The ceremony will include remarks from Robert Keer, Canadian counsel for Political, Economic and Public Affairs; and Brig. Gen. Stephane Boivin, deputy commanding general, operations, I Corps (Canada) and military honors.
Keynote speakers is George Cannizzaro, executive assistant, Office of the Deputy Under Secretary for Field Programs and Cemetery Operations.

The Stearman Group will provide a flyover to start the program (weather permitting) in World War I vintage bi-planes at 11:05 a.m. led by pilot Rich Aldridge.
Parking space is limited in the cemetery. Plan to walk to and from your parking spot to the ceremony.
