SYL Foundation offers scholarship program for graduating seniors in Auburn

The “See Ya Later” Foundation is accepting applications for its scholarship program.

Graduating seniors are invited to complete applications and submit a letter of reference by April 4 for the Scott Banke Memorial Scholarships. The “See Ya Later” Scholarship Committee reviews applications, and finalists are interviewed.

Three $1,500 scholarships will be awarded to Auburn students.

The SYL Foundation, a non-profit organization that began out of the inspiration of a 12 year-old boy who died of cancer. Scott Banke had a zest for life and a courage that motivates the mission of the foundation, which is inspiring youth and encouraging families.

The scholarship program is among the foundation’s three-part outreach that includes sports camps for kids. Those camps are available to families with minimal or no financial burden.

In addition, the foundation provides Seeds of Hope – resources to families in their time of greatest crisis when a parent or child is stricken with a life-threatening medical crisis.
