On Thursday, Oct. 12, construction for the Auburn Way South Safety Improvements (Muckleshoot Plaza to Dogwood Street SE) project will require short-term closures of Auburn Way South and Riverwalk Drive SE to install a traffic signal system that spans across both roadways.

The work will require the following two separate short duration roadway closures at the Auburn Way South and Riverwalk Drive SE intersection:

1. The first will begin at 9:30 a.m. and will be complete by 10 a.m. At this time, the contractor will be installing a traffic signal pole that spans across the Auburn Way South roadway at Riverwalk Drive SE.

2. The second will begin at 1:30 p.m. and will be complete by 2 p.m. At this time, the contractor will be installing a traffic signal pole that spans across the Riverwalk Drive SE roadway at Auburn Way South.

Please use caution and pay close attention to police officers, flaggers and construction sign directions.
