The Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to 229 calls for service between Feb. 18 and 24, among which were the following:

Feb. 18

Aid call: 3:15 p.m., (Lakeland Hills). Firefighters helped a teenage girl who was complaining of head-and-shoulder pain after a fall, and then one of her parents transported her to Valley Medical Center for further evaluation.

Feb. 19

Aid call: 2:33 p.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters helped a woman who was complaining of a possible allergic reaction to nuts, and a private ambulance transported her to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center (MAMC).

Feb. 20

Aid call: 3:56 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters and King County Medics responding to Valley Recycling for an aid call evaluated a man who had fallen and suffered a seizure, and a private ambulance transported him to MAMC.

Feb. 21

Accident: 7:37 a.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responded to a four-car accident, and a VRFA aid unit transported a woman to MAMC.

Feb. 22

Aid call: 7:47 a.m., (South Auburn). Firefighters and King County Medics evaluated a woman who was complaining of chest pain, and a private ambulance transported her to MAMC.

Feb. 23

Fire alarm: 6:11 p.m., (South Auburn). Firefighters responding to a report of a fire alarm wailing inside of an empty apartment found the cause: a pot on a hot burner that had smoked up the apartment. Firefighters cleared the apartment then turned the unit over to management.

Feb. 24

Aid call: 5:34 p.m., (Algona). Firefighters and King County Medics evaluated a middle-aged woman who was suffering squeezing chest pain, and a private ambulance transported her to MAMC.
