VRFA fire and rescue blotter | March 24

The Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to 212 calls for service between March 13 and 19, among them the following:

March 13

Aid call: 2 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters responded to an older man who was suffering from abdominal issues, and a private ambulance transported him to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center (MAMC).

March 14

Aid call: 3:30 p.m., (Lakeland Hills). Firefighters evaluated a senior citizen who had fallen down a flight of stairs, injuring her leg, and a private ambulance transported her to MAMC for further treatment.

March 15

Minor fire: 4:48 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters extinguished a Dumpster fire without incident and called out a fire marshal to investigate. Residents who had called 911 said they saw people running from the scene, and suspected someone had started the fire intentionally.

March 16

Aid call: 9:40 a.m., (South Auburn). Firefighters responded to an older gentleman who had fallen sometime during the early morning and was found by family members. Firefighters evaluated him, and VRFA personnel transported him to MAMC.

March 17

Aid call: (Lea Hill). Firefighters evaluated a man who had been complaining of a decreased level of consciousness, and King County Medics transported him to MAMC.

March 18

Aid call: 12:55 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responded to a woman who was short of breath, and at her request left her in the care of her friends.

March 19

Minor fire: 6:28 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters responding to the odor of smoke in an apartment building learned that a pan had been left on the stove in the next door unit. There was no fire.
