Aid call: 12:05 p.m., (Algona). Firefighters evaluated a middle-aged woman who was in the throes of a seizure and left her at home with family.

May 1

Aid call: 11:45 a.m., (Lakeland Hills). Firefighters and King County Medics responding to a report of an older man who was lying unconscious in a parking lot found Auburn Police units already performing CPR, so they took over resuscitation efforts, and medics motored the man to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center (MAMC).

May 2

Aid call: 10:50 a.m. (Pacific). Firefighters and King County Medics revived a woman and a young man who’d overdosed on opioids, and a private ambulance transported them to MAMC.

May 3

Aid call: 2:30 p.m., no city given. Firefighters and King County Medics stabilized an older fellow who’d lost consciousness, and transported him to MAMC.

May 4

Commercial Fire: 12:56 a.m., Auburn. Firefighters were dispatched to a fire in the 3700 block of Auburn Way South that was initially described as a sprinkler water-flow alarm but was upgraded while the firefighters were on the way. The sprinkler system extinguished the kitchen fire, but one man received burns to 15 percent of his body when a pan with hot oil fell by his feet and burned his legs. King County Medics treated the man and airlifted him to Harborview Medical Center. Firefighters asked the Red Cross to help three adults and four children. The apartment had minor fire damage. The Fire Investigator determined the cause to be accidental.

May 5

Aid call: 9:33 a.m., (Auburn). Firefighters assessed an Auburn senior citizen who was complaining of injuries from a fall and transported her to MAMC for further treatment.

May 6

Aid call: 4:40 p.m., (South Auburn). Firefighters and King County Medics responded to a welfare check for an older gentleman, and medics stabilized him for transportation to MAMC.
