Between Oct. 9 and 15, the Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to 209 calls for service, among them the following:

Oct. 9

Aid call: 8:06 p.m., (Lakeland Hills. Firefighters evaluated a young man who was complaining of a rapid heart rate and shortness of breath, and when the findings revealed the fellow did not require transportation to a hospital, he chose to stay at home.

Oct. 10

Aid call: 8:44 p.m., (Algona). Firefighters and King County Medics treated a man for chest pain, and medics transported him to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center (MAMC).

Oct. 11

Accident: 9:47 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters and Auburn Police responded to a two-car accident at the 4500 block of Auburn Way North, where firefighters treated a young woman for injuries before a private ambulance motored her to MAMC.

Oct. 12

Minor fire: 12:49 a.m., (Pacific). Firefighters extinguished a blazing power pole and contacted Puget Sound Energy to come and effect repairs.

Oct. 13

Aid call: 3:39 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters and King County Medics treated a man who was having a cardiac incident, and medics zipped him to MAMC.

Oct. 14

Aid call: 2:33 p.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters responded to an older woman who was complaining of injuries from a fall, and a private ambulance transported her to MAMC.

Oct. 15

Aid call: 11:28 a.m., (South Auburn). Firefighters dispatched to a report of an unconscious man found him conscious once again, so they transported him to MAMC for further care.
