Water billing system is inadequate

I may sound like a broken record by now, but I am so sick of the way Auburn is being run.

I may sound like a broken record by now, but I am so sick of the way Auburn is being run.

I pay my water bill online but the City of Auburn is not set up to receive online payments. Consequently, when I notify my bank, they in turn have to issue a check and mail it to the City. This takes time, so in order for me not to get a late notice I have to take care of my bill almost as immediately as I get it. I was told approximately six months ago by the mayor that “they” were working on setting up online bill pay.

Truthfully, how long should this take? Something as simple as setting up a computer program.

While I’m at it, the water base, city sewer base, King County sewer base and stormwater charges are far too expensive. Out of sight is what they are. It cannot possible take all that money from each and every resident in Auburn each and every month to cover the maintenance of the water system. A little over $100 from each household is quite a bit of change, wouldn’t you say?

Something is drastically wrong with this picture.
