White River Valley Museum Board seeks to fill 3 openings

The White River Valley Museum Board invites the public to consider applying for three openings on the panel.

Roles and responsibilities

Boards and commissions of the City of Auburn are charged with specialized tasks, which provide invaluable aid to City Council in making sound decisions for the benefit of the City and its residents. These tasks require specific knowledge, experience and qualifications.

Serving on this board, you will help to raise funds to support museum programs, develop policies for museum operations and management of collections, and oversee long-term plans for the museum and Mary Olson Farm.

Board membership is comprised of nine members elected by the general membership of the historical society, and eight members are appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the City Council.

Time commitment

Regular meetings of the Board are on the third Wednesday of each month at 1:30 p.m at the White River Valley Museum Muckleshoot Room, 918 H S. SE, Auburn. Most board members also serve on a committee, which may require an hour of additional monthly service.
