Jerrie loved swimming, tennis and was involved in leadership roles throughout her High School years as School Treasurer, Frosh Rep and Vice Pres and later President of the Girls Club. Jerrie was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she served over the years in a number of callings including the President of the Relief Society and Primary organizations. Her family and genealogy were her passions.

She married Harry A. Diddy, a handsome sailor that caught her eye on August 20, 1944 in Raymond, WA at the Methodist Church. They first met at the Spanish Castle, a dance hall, where their romance first blossomed. Harry proposed on June 17, 1944 after dancing again at the Spanish Castle over a hamburger at Johnny’s Drive-In. They were later sealed as a family for time and all eternity at the Cardston, Canada Temple.
