Carol Primrose Enden

Carol Primrose Enden, 73, passed away on May 26, 2016 after her courageous battle with Myelodysplastic Syndrome and Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

Carol, formerly of Albany, OR and Lake Tapps, WA, is survived by her daughter, Marjorie Weide, and her son, Scott Weide (Casey), and her granddaughter Zoe Weide and step grandson, Andrew Carrico of Auburn WA. Of prominent importance in her life was Frank Prien, her dear friend and long-standing companion.

Carol and Frank regularly attended St. James’ Episcopal Church in Kent, WA. Carol graduated from Oregon State University and the University of Washington from which she earned her Bachelor and Master of Arts in Education degrees. Carol became a lifelong educator in the Bellevue and Auburn School Districts, focusing her 35 year career on reading and early childhood education.

Carol was a devout mother and found joy in the countless lessons, tutors, activities, and trips she took with her children. She enjoyed sunsets, boat rides, and entertaining at her property in Lake Tapps, WA. She also piloted her motor coach, while her husband, James Enden MD, previously deceased, navigated the United States and Canada. Carol was an active member in Alpha Phi, Seattle Junior League, WICS (Widowed Information and Consultation Services), Retired Teachers Association, The Seattle Tennis Club, and the Washington Athletic Club. In addition she was an avid Seahawks fan and Husky Tyee Club season ticket holder.

A service and final farewell party will be held on Thursday, June 23rd, at 5:30pm at Messiah Lutheran Church in Auburn, WA.
