John E. Yaw was born October 2, 1931 in Iowa. He passed peacefully at home on March 14, 2019, surrounded by family and loved ones.

John took great pride in serving his country. He was retired from the Army and volunteered for 19 years on the Honor Guard for Tahoma National Cemetery.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his children, James Yaw and Constance Urtz; grandson, Mark Millette; granddaughter, Christina Rodriguez; and 10 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Anna Yaw.

John will be dearly missed and forever loved.

Visitation will be on Sunday, March 24 from 1-4 pm at Yahn & Son Funeral Home, 55 W. Valley Hwy. S., Auburn 98001. The Committal Service will take place Friday, April 12 at 11am at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent. Please visit
